Dorothy Ann Perpich, age 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at her home. She was born April 7, 1939, in Milwaukee to Lewis and Rosalie (Hatas) Wilson.
Dorothy graduated from Pius XI High School with the class of 1957. She received her Medical Technology degree from Alverno College and worked in the healthcare field until her retirement in 2000. She married her husband, William, on June 22, 1963. Together they shared 48 years of marriage and raised five children.
Dorothy loved spending time at her cottage on Roberts Lake where she would start each day on the dock watching the sun rise with coffee and then later in the day watching it set with her ‘Dorothy water’. She was passionate about watching her 10 grandchildren's involvement in academics and athletics which kept her moving between DePere, Winneconne, Fall Creek and Kingsford, MI. When she wasn’t with her family, she was active within the community and enjoyed spending time with friends, namely her quilting group, lunches with former work associates and the traveling “antique roadshow”.
Dorothy was always concerned about others and devoted her time to St. Vincent DePaul, St. John’s Homeless Shelter, and supported whomever she thought could use her assistance. She was also an active volunteer at the Green Bay Botanical Garden, Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, and Nativity of our Lord Parish.
She is survived by two daughters: Suzanne (Chris) Murawski, Winneconne, WI; Kristina (Mark) Kuula, Fall Creek, WI; three sons: William (Gwen) Perpich Jr., St. Pete Beach, FL; Dennis (Jill) Perpich, Kingsford, MI; Karl (Deb) Perpich, De Pere, WI; and ten grandchildren: Rachel, Sawyer and Jack Perpich; Zachery, Gregery and Mary Murawski; Isabella and Sarah Perpich; Jessica and Bryce Kuula and two sisters: Rosie (Doug) Meske, Oconomowoc, WI and Barbara (Dale) Levinson, Waukesha, WI and sister-in-law Kathleen Perpich, Green Bay, WI. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Rosie, her husband, Bill, her infant daughter, Therese Marie, and her brother, Bob.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 11:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St, Green Bay with Father Robb Jurkovich officiating. Visitation will occur at 9:30 am until the time of service. In lieu of gifts, please consider donating your time or a financial gift to St. Vincent DePaul, Green Bay chapter: https://www.svdpgb.org/donate or St. John’s Homeless Shelter in Green Bay.
The family would like to thank all her friends for their support throughout the years. Also, the team at Unity Hospice who are truly angels on earth, in particular Ashley, Gail, Monica, Debbie, Lana, as well as Dr. Dhingra and the medical staff at UW Madison for years of dedication to her health.
