Earl E. Miller, age 87, of Green Bay, passed away on Monday December 12, 2022.
Earl was born to the late Leonard “Jack” and Leoris (Tousey) Miller on November 6, 1935, in the township of Red Springs. He graduated from Gresham High School in 1953 and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Earl met Elizabeth “Sue” Helberg while he was still in the Navy, and they married in 1960. They moved to Chicago where Earl went to barber school. They settled in Green Bay where Earl operated St. Agnes Barber Shop.
Earl was a long-time member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and a man of great faith. He loved dancing with his wife, spending time with his family, and playing golf with his sons-in-law, grandsons, and golf pals. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles. Earl was patient, kind, caring, giving, and unconditionally loving. He lived a life of good humor, joy, and gratitude. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by children: Joel (Marlene) Miller, Jeannice (Troy) Reding, Valerie (Dana) Miller, Lisa Miller, Nicole Miller, and Ashley Miller; grandchildren: Kirk (Kyle) Miller and Elise Miller, Eliah, Elizabeth, and Samuel Reding; great-grandchildren: Trayce, Preston, Isabella and Jordyn; in-laws: Bill and Dorothy Helberg and Jan and Lowell Thoms; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law: Leonard “Jack” Jr. and Glenore “Betty” Miller; nephew: Luke; nieces: Jackie, Emmeretta, and Trilby; and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday December 16, 2022, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Dr., Green Bay, with Pastor Scott Malme officiating.
