Elaine Stock Obituary

Elaine Stock, 90, passed away on April 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Elaine was born on August 10, 1935, in Rock, Michigan to Leo and Ellen Jyrkila. She grew up in Rock and, after graduating from high school, moved to Green Bay so she could attend business school.

Elaine married the love of her life, Norman, in 1955, and shortly after, they welcomed their first child. Together they built a life centered around family, raising 5 children together.

While her children were young, Elaine dedicated herself to being a homemaker. Once they were in school, she returned to work, spending time at Classic Touch before building a long career at Loomis, where she worked for 18 years before retiring.

Elaine had a deep love for life’s simple joys. She enjoyed dancing to all kinds of music, bowling in leagues, and spending time outdoors with her family, whether that was camping, days at Shawano Lake, or picnics at Pamperin Park. She also loved to travel and experienced many places throughout her life, with some of her favorites being Hawaii, Europe, and Jamaica. She enjoyed flowers, especially watching them bloom and keeping them in her home.

Family was always at the center of everything for Elaine. She was a loving and devoted mother who would do anything for her children, while also running a tight ship, something the family often joked about, especially when it came to her son Darren, who, to this day, still manages to keep the mischief alive. In her later years, she found immense joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lovingly made baby blankets for each of them, a tradition that will continue to be cherished.

Elaine valued connection and friendship, enjoying frequent lunches with her close group of friends. She was also a proud dog owner, and her beloved dog, Finn, brought her great comfort and companionship.

Those who knew Elaine will remember her as a kind and steady presence. She was a great listener and never one to judge. Her kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Elaine was incredibly proud of her family. Nothing brought her more joy than having everyone together in one room, no matter how loud it was. In her final days, she shared how much she loved having the house full, surrounded by the people she loved most.

She is survived by children Kelly (Nick) Poole, Tracy Stock, and Darren (Dana) Stock. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, Weston (Lauren), Ava & Lennon Wylie, Kendra (Tim) McIntyre, Alek (Hannah) Eli, Keegan, Cohen, & Yianni Reed, Ari (Amber) Charlotte & Peter Reed, Carsin (Garrett), Jack & Ford Boeck, Kiara (Tony), Ezra & Asa Moua, Jannae (Aaron) Poole, and Amberlyn (Rick) Stock. Son-in-law, Dan Wylie and sister-in-law Diane Jyrkila.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, daughters Noreen Stock and Sherry Wylie, brother Jerry Jyrkila, grandsons, Taylor John and Chance Stock and great grandson, Dominick Reed.
