Elizabeth “Betty” Heimerl, age 95, of Green Bay passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at McCormick Assisted Living.
Betty was born September 12, 1930 in Brillion, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Binsfeld. She was a graduate of Brillion High School. On December 27, 1951 she was united in marriage to Harvey Heimerl in Greenleaf. Harvey preceded her in death in 2008.
Betty worked at Brillion Iron Works, San Luis Manor and at the Ashwaubenon schools. She was a housewife for many years.
Betty enjoyed making hand-tied quilts for her whole family and for people in need. She also volunteered at Nativity Parish for many years and San Luis Manor. She was a member of the Ashwaubenon Historical Society for many years. The grandkids and great-grandkids enjoyed going to her house knowing she always seemed to have fresh cookies for them.
Survivors include her children: Dave (Kim) Heimerl, Denis (Cheryl) Heimerl, Dolores (Paul) Loppnow, Darlene (Russ) Boettcher, Diane Minix and Dorothy (Dan) Stark.
Grandchildren: Clint (Melissa), Ashley, Shane, Rebecca (Kyle), Rick (Erica), Jason (Laura), Christa (Dan), Lisa (Jeremy), Mitchell, Nicole (Aaron) and Jessica (Sam).
Great grandchildren: Lincoln, Maverick, Henry, Wyatt, William, Charles, Kylee, Ethan, Dirk, Claire, Isaiah, Alexis, Cal, Evelyn, Liam and Lewis
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Mary Binsfeld, her husband Harvey Heimerl, her brother Nick Binsfeld and her Grandson Cody Heimerl. She was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2026 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Matt Simonar. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenleaf, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
