Ellen Elizabeth (McCabe) Chapman

Ellen Elizabeth Chapman, 76, Green Bay passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at the Hamilton Health Services in Two Rivers.

Ellen was born on December 6, 1945 in Madelia, MN to Osmond and Mary (Kreutzer) McCabe. She was a graduate of Madelia High School, she furthered her education at St. Mary’s Junior College, where she obtained her degree in Nursing. On September 13, 1969 she married Ronald Chapman. Ellen was a registered nurse for Bellin Hospital for over 20 years.

Ellen was a devout catholic and was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish. Throughout the years, Ellen had the privilege of being able to watch over all her grandchildren, memories that she cherished.

Ellen is survived by her husband: Ronald; children: David (Debbie) Chapman of Sheboygan, Anne Plier of Two Rivers, and Michael (Marie) Chapman of Green Bay; grandchildren: Justin Krupp, Nathaniel (Katie) Krupp, William Krupp, Jenna Chapman, Ava Chapman, and Max Chapman; and brothers and sister: Gregory McCabe, Richard (Jan) McCabe, Roy (Chris) McCabe, Donald (Jan) McCabe, and Jeanette (Rick) Kouba. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law: John Plier; brothers and sisters; brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.

A memorial service to celebrate Ellen’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., with Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.  Ellen will be laid to rest at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
