Eloise "Ellie" Ann Young

Eloise “Ellie” Ann Young, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born June 22, 1938, in Berlin WI to the late William and Goldie (Thrall) Voeltner.

Ellie attended Berlin High School and graduated with the class of 1956. She was married to James Young from 1957 until 1987. Together they had 7 children. Ellie managed the kitchen at Fort Howard Paper Mill, Paragon Electric then for the Brown County Jail until her retirement in 2005.

Ellie loved her family dearly. Over the phone or over a cup of coffee, she provided so many words of wisdom and advice. The daily phone calls will be missed.

She is survived by her children Debra (Kenny Shivler) Young, Shari (Len) Lessmiller, James (Linda) Young, Bruce (Tracey) Young, Thomas Young (Ronda Gadzinski), Michael (Jamie) Young, Christopher (Linda) Young, and her loving dog Baybee. She is further survived by many, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Irma Voeltner. Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Goldie Voeltner; and her siblings, Harvey (Ester) Voeltner, Lenore (Glen) Wuske, Alvin (Thelma) Voeltner, Arthur Voeltner, Doris (Joseph) Resop, and Belva (Alfred) Paukstat.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023 at The Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will be at Allouez mausoleum at later date. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 3:00 p.m.

The Young family would like to thank all the medical care givers who dedicated time and effort to helping Ellie live a full life for the last several years.
