Everett "Bud" Skar Obituary

Everett “Bud” Keith Skar, 81, of Green Bay passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2025 at Alpha Senior Concepts in Howard.

Bud was born on May 21, 1944 in Green Bay to Oris and Beatrice (Judkins) Skar. Following high school, he served his country in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 9719 in Pulaski. Bud started working in the family business, Skar Refrigeration, alongside his father and brother Gary in 1967. He and Gary took over the business in 1969 and ran it until 1999. He then became a school bus driver for Lamers Bus Lines, a job he enjoyed and he cherished the friendships he made with his clients from Aspiro. Bud enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles, and camping. He was a collector of Jukeboxes, Coke memorabilia, beer steins and signs.

Bud is survived by three children: Dana (Kevin) Boesen, Lisa Skar, and Todd (Jessica) Skar; grandchildren: Jordan, Cassidy, Kaitlyn, Blaine, Willow, and Aspen; great grandchild: Allayna Skar; brother: Gary Skar; and special friends: Jabber Jobelous, and Jackie Pfluger. He is further survived by his former spouse: Lynn, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bud was preceded in death by his parents: Oris and Beatrice Skar; granddaughter: Alexis Jo; brother: Oren Skar; two sisters-in-law: Bonnie Skar, and Lynn Shemick; and two dogs: Puchess and Monique.

A funeral service to celebrate Bud’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., with Deacon Greg Rotherham officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm. Everett will be laid to rest at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
