Gary G. Meert

Gary G. Meert, age 89, of Green Bay passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Gary was born October 10, 1935 in Green Bay, son of the late George and Ann (Seidl) Meert.  He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School with the Class of 1953.  On April 4, 1959 he was united in marriage to the former Doris Steffens in Green Bay.  She preceded him in death on May 27, 2023.

Gary worked at Immel Construction and Fruin Colnon Corporation as a Millwright.

Gary enjoyed bowling, fishing and golfing.  He was also an avid Packer fan and was a season ticket holder for many years. 

Survivors include his children:  Greg (Julie) Meert, Joe Meert (friend Tracy), Dave Meert; his grandchildren:  Shannon (Nick) Fabry, Josh (Mackenzie) Meert, Nick Meert and Janelle Meert; great granddaughter: Emerson Meert; his brother: Jim Meert; his sister: Karen (Joe) Steger; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Gary was preceded in death by his parents George & Ann Meert and his wife Doris Meert.

 The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home (1350 Lombardi Ave.).  Entombment will take place at Fort Howard Cemetery as a later time.
