Gerald “Jerry” Martin Wyand, 86, died on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Unity Hospice Center in DePere.
Jerry was born on January 22, 1936 in Green Bay to the late Norris and Evelyn (Franken) Wyand. He was a graduate of Premontre High School. After graduation, Jerry served his country in the United States Army National Guard from 1954-1962. In 1956, he married Shirley Bredael, she preceded him in death in 1963. In 1984, he married Sandra Frisque, she preceded him in death in 2018. Jerry was a master electrician for over 25 years.
Jerry was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, where he enjoyed helping with the Christmas tree lot, parking for Packer games and making chicken booyah for the church picnic. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for over 25 years. Jerry enjoyed aviation and was a 20 year member of the EAA, he had a green thumb and enjoyed working in his flower gardens and he cherished the years spent going up north to Popp’s Resort in Crivitz.
Jerry is survived by his daughter: Lynn Wyand; two step-sons: Mike (Lynda) Pigeon and Scott Pigeon (fiancé Kerrie Spoonmore); grandson: Tyler Wyand-Williams (special friend Angela Pamperin); step-grandchildren: Tawni Urso (fiancé Frank Rogers), Jack, Finn and Harry Pigeon, and Tate Sivertson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gary (Diane) Bredael and Rick and Diane Frisque; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Beth and David Vandeven. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his wives: Shirley Bredael and Sandra Frisque; his parents-in-law: Ray and Hazel Bredael; sister and brother-in-law: Alice (Obie) Obuchowski; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Roger (Carol) Bredael; niece: Sara Mitchell; and godchild and niece: Kathy Harrison.
A funeral mass to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., with Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lomardi Ave., from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and again on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the CHURCH from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Jerry will be laid to rest at Allouez Catholic Cemetery with military honors.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion given to Jerry and the family over the past two years, and to his amazing friends and neighbors, Tim Randell, Rod Brown, Jerry Prellwitz, Fred Kaminski, Tom and Kathy Harrison, Dick and Diane Temmer, John and Char Dunlap, and Ron and Deanna Voorhees, for all the help around the house and yard, grocery shopping and friendship. Your help allowed him to be able to continue living at home.
