Geraldine Lucille Davidson
December 27, 1930 – November 1, 2025
Geraldine “Geri” Lucille Davidson, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and
friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the age of 94.
Known for her warmth, strength, and unwavering kindness, Geraldine dedicated her life
to caring for others. She served as a nurse on the 4th floor surgical unit at St. Vincent
Hospital from the early 1960s until her retirement in 1993. After retiring, she lovingly
cared for her twin grandbabies and grandson, continuing her lifelong devotion to
nurturing those around her.
Geri was married for 66 beautiful years to the love of her life, Jerry “Jeep”
Davidson, who preceded her in death three years ago. Their enduring love was a
testament to true partnership and devotion.
She had a zest for life and a deep love for her family. Her legendary lasagna and
comforting chicken dumpling soup along with pistachio pineapple salad were staples at family gatherings, and she never turned down a root beer float. Christmas at her home was nothing short of magical—filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Summers were spent at the family cottage, where fish fries and Booya were traditions.
Everyone pitched in to clean the perch before Jeep fried them up, creating memories
that will last a lifetime.
Geri was a spirited cheerleader at her grandchildren’s sporting events—referees
always knew where she was sitting! She was immensely proud of her grandchildren and
adored singing and talking to her great-grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was
giving her great-grandson Llewelyn rides on her lap in her wheelchair, proudly showing
him off to fellow residents at Woodside Assisted Living, especially her dear friend Barb.
Though she never wore nail polish before moving to Woodside, she quickly embraced
the tradition and looked forward to having her nails painted every Monday. Her spunky
spirit, strong will, and grace made her a role model to many. She was a safe
place—always ready with a warm hug and a listening ear.
Geri is survived by her daughters: Judy Klein, Jill (Brad) Davidson Pierce, and
Jean (Jeff) Davidson Sachs; her grandchildren: Max (Kelli) Klein, Heidi (Nick) Lund,
Tyler (Landra) Pierce, Taylor (Zach) Pierce Brinkman, Tiffani (Carson) Affeldt, Carleigh
Sachs, and Emmaleigh (Noah) Schmidt; and her great-grandchildren: Cora Pierce,
Lana Lund, Corrine Pierce, Llewelyn Brinkman, Finnley Affeldt, with two more on the
way. Along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry “Jeep” Davidson; her parents Maude
(Mallow) and John Saubert; her brother John “Sonny” Saubert; her sisters Beverly
Gerbers, Claire Mae Smits, and Patricia “Pat” Havers; her son-in-law Mark Klein; her
great-grandchild Camry Pierce; and many beloved brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church (321 S. Madison St.), Green Bay. Burial will take place at Fort Howard Cemetery at a later time.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses at St. Vincent Hospital and the
caregivers at Woodside Assisted Living for their kindness and care. Geri ‘Ger Bear’ loved you all.
Her legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
