Gladys Fleischman Obituary

Gladys (Linzmaier) Fleischman, 96, gained her angel wings on May 9, 2025 while surrounded by loved ones in Green Bay, WI. She was born on December 9, 1928 to Peter and Julia (Swetz) Linzmaier in Blenker, WI. After graduating high school, she worked for many years as a Nurses Aid at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI. She met the love of her life, John Fleischman, in 1947 and they were married on September 10, 1951. After their sixth child was born, John and Gladys moved the family to Bonduel in 1964. She worked at several jobs in Bonduel and Shawano, working many years at the Bonduel Pickle Factory. In 1981, John and Gladys moved to the Fond du Lac area for a couple of years and then moved to Janesville for a short time until they retired in 1982.  After living in Bonduel again for a couple of years, they moved to Green Bay and cared for Gladys’ parents. Gladys then worked for 14 years at St. John the Baptist School in the lunch room. She also worked for 19 years at the election poll and was the Chief Inspector for several years.

Gladys loved spending time with her family and many friends.  She enjoyed traveling, music, dancing, quilting, canning pickles, cooking, partying, and playing a mean game of cards.   She was a very active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and devoted many volunteer hours at church.
