Hollie Marie (Schmit) Surber, age 42, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born April 10, 1981, in Green Bay, WI to Jerry and Debbie (Tilly) Schmit. She attended Bay City Christian School and early on she made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She later attended Green Bay Christian School and graduated from Bay Port High School with the class of 1999. She then attended UWGB and received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2005. She married Adam Surber on June 24, 2006, and together they shared three children. Hollie helped Adam run his painting business.
Hollie enjoyed traveling which included many cruises, Florida vacations with her family, swimming and sunshine. She loved Mustang convertibles, driving fast, and her beloved McDonald’s Diet Coke.
Immediate survivors include her husband Adam and their three children: Sydney (16), Sebastian (12), and Sullivan (7); along with her parents: Jerry and Debbie Schmit; her brother and sister-in-law: Jeremy and MaryJo Schmit and their children, Christian, Cameron, Ethan, and Gavin; along with her mother-in-law: Kathy Surber. Also included are aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews from both families, as well as a multitude of friends.
Hollie was preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert and Harriet Schmit, Sherry and Bob Tilly and her father-in-law: Jon Surber.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Life Church, 1551 Lawrence Drive, De Pere, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Her final resting place will be Riverside Cemetery in Little Suamico, Wisconsin. She will live on through her tissue donation, giving the gift of life to others. We know we will see her again in heaven because of her faith in Jesus Christ.
