James Robert Wolfe Sr., age 87, of Crivitz, WI, passed away Sunday February 23, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 14, 1938, in Green Bay to the late Raphael and Thelma (Athey) Wolfe. He attended West High School, graduating with the class of ‘57. On September 13, 1958, he married Joan Annette Doemel in Green Bay. Together they shared 64 years of marriage. James worked as a civil engineer for The City of Green Bay for over 30 years.
James was an avid hunter, fisherman and boater.
He is survived by his wife: Joan Wolfe of Crivitz; one daughter: Mary “Chris” (Andrew) Middleton; two sons: John (Kelly) Wolfe and James (Rhonda) Wolfe Jr.; eleven grandchildren: Jessica (Matthew), Steve (Brie), Elaine, Blake, Devon (Emily), Leslie (Michelle), Richard, Christopher, Trisha (Aaron), Nicole (Jon), and Alex (Morgan); eighteen great grandchildren: Bella (Spencer), Leo, Claira, Henry, Charlie, Carson, Addison, Emma, Ian, Elijah, River, Shiloh, Averi, Sierra, Chelsea, Cassee, Courtney and Cullen; one great-great grandchild: Colton; Godchild: Lora; two brothers: William Wolfe, Robert (Sherry) Wolfe; three sisters: Jean Cleary, Connie Stiles, Terri (Mark) Powles. James is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son: Dennis Wolfe.
Private family services were held at Nicolet Memorial Park, Green Bay.
