James J. "Jim" Ambrosius

James Joseph Ambrosius, age 69, of Gillett, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.

Jim was born on February 5, 1953, to the late Howard and Helen (Greatens) Ambrosius. He is a graduate from Ashwaubenon High School Class of 1972. On September 27, 2003, Jim married his wife, Bonnie Masek.

Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, tinkering in his garage making crafts with Bonnie, hunting, camping, cheering on the Packers, attending the Hodag, four-wheeler and motorcycle rides. Jim enjoyed meeting new people and always made everyone feel at home with his welcoming personality. Jim loved being on the dance floor, if there was a good song on you knew he would be out there. He was always the entertainer.

Survivors include: his wife Bonnie, his children: Jamey (Michelle) Ambrosius, Kristy (Corey) Hansen, Alyssa Kellogg, Cheyenne Weier (David Messerschmidt). His brothers: Mike (Patty) Ambrosius, Joe (Julie) Ambrosius, Ron Ambrosius. His sisters: Jean Tomcheck and Karen (Jim) Simons. Grandchildren: Cody Ambrosius, Cynthia (Keith) Spencer, Maisy, Ava and Randy III Kellogg. Great grandchildren: Bentley and Mason Spencer. Jim is also survived by several in-laws, close friends, nieces and nephews. He was Momma Kitty to his cat Missy. He is preceded by: his parents Howard and Helen Ambrosius, sister Donna Exferd and brother-in-law John Tomcheck.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022, at The Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, with the Sister Mary Peters officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m.
