James (Jim) E. Herwald

James (Jim) Herwald, 60 of Ashwaubenon passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021.  He was born January 19,1961 in Green Bay to Helen (Herman) and the late Rudy Herwald. Jim was a graduate of West High School with the class of 1979.  He went on to serve in the US Air Force from 1983 until his honorable discharge in 1991. On January 20,1984 Jim married Lyn Kryger in Green Bay.  He loved spending time with his boys enjoying sports including hockey and football.  He also loved going up north and spending time with his granddaughter Ava Lyn and his grand puppy Croix.

Survivors include his wife, Lyn Herwald; sons, Kendal Herwald (Lindsey Schuster) and Jacob Herwald (soon to be daughter-in-law Bailee Wautlet); granddaughter, Ava Lyn Herwald; mother, Helen Herwald; brother, John Herwald; mother-in-law and father -in-law, Peg and Jim Kryger; brother-in-law’s, Ken Kryger (Paula Schneider) and Dale (Sue) Kryger; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Rudy Herwald; a sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Tim Rasmussen.

Visitation for Jim will be held on Thursday June 3, 2021 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue from 4:00 PM until the time of services at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place at Ft. Howard Memorial Park, where Military Honors will be accorded. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with Jim’s family on his tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
