Jane Williquette Obituary

We lost an angel on earth when Jane Williquette passed away unexpectedly from this life into the next on Sunday, September 30, 2018.  God took her by the hand and reunited her with her beloved family and friends who went before her.  She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Jane was born February 13, 1933, the third of four girls to Sewell and Esther (Randall) Carter in Oshkosh.  Jane graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1951.  On January 2, 1954, Jane married her high school sweetheart, Donald Williquette and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage.

Being a wonderful wife and mother was Jane’s priority, but she still found time to work part-time at Badger Wood Products in De Pere, Woodside Lutheran Home and K-Mart in Green Bay.  Jane loved people and was a very social person.  She was a long-time member of Calvary Lutheran Church, where she had many, many friends.  Jane enjoyed working in the food pantry, assembling the monthly newsletter and helping with special mailings in the church office.  Jane loved her pets, especially Megan, Phoebe and Mr. P.  She enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds in her backyard and up north at the “Hideout”.  She enjoyed going to Packerland Kennel Club every week with her grand-dogs, Olive and Elsie and chatting with her many friends there.

Jane will be sadly missed by many people but especially her loving family who lost her too quickly.   She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Williquette; four daughters, Dianne (John) Andrews, Oak Park, Illinois; Patrice (Charlie) Brown, De Pere; Susan Williquette, Green Bay; and Lynn (Mark) Des Jardin, Green Bay; grandchildren, Eric (Danyelle) Andrews, Burr Ridge, Illinois; Leah Andrews, Chicago, Illinois; Andrew Des Jardin, Green Bay; and  Blair Des Jardin (special friend, Cassady Danelski), Green Bay; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Ronan Andrews; her sister, Shirley (Ted) Wiese, Houston, Texas; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Lu) Williquette, Pound; many nieces and nephews and her honorary daughter, Shelly and honorary grandson, Chris.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Donna (Chuck) Mehciz and Irene (Fred) Pennoyer; twin great-granddaughters, Rylie and Avary Andrews and nephew, Dennis Pennoyer.

Visitation for Jane will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue.  Visitation will continue Thursday, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1301 South Ridge Road, with Rev. Steve Apfel officiating.  Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with Jane’s family on her tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
