Jean Gettelman Obituary

Jean Ellis Gettelman, age 100 of Green Bay, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. She was born June 9, 1920 in Green Bay to the late Robert and Jenny (Ellis) Hetherington. Jean married Charles Gettelman in Dubuque, Iowa on November 6, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2002. She was employed by Fort Howard Paper for 19 years, retiring in 1986. Jean was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church now called Bridge Point Church in Green Bay.

Survivors include a daughter, Lee Ann (Paul) Dankert; a son, Charles Gettelman; granddaughter, Nicole (Kenneth) Green; great grandchildren, Vincent, and Kassandra Green. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; one sister, Doris Eugels; one brother, Robert Lee Hetherington.

Private services will be held. Entombment to follow at Fort Howard Mausoleum. Lyndahl Funeral Home Assisted the Family.
