John A. Leason, Hobart, age 74, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 19, 1947 in Marinette to the late John and Henrietta (Vieth) Leason. John was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. On June 7, 1969, he married Sharon Anderson in Marinette.
John was employed by Peterbilt of Wisconsin as a salesman until his retirement after more than 30 years of employment. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan and enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, skiing, and watching his children and grandchildren in their sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon; two daughters, Angela Leason-Piontek (Matthew Pearson, Howard) and Kerrie (Jesse) Maas-Baldwin, Littleton, Colorado; six grandchildren, Peyton Piontek (special friend, Duncan McGlachlin) Kadin Piontek (special friend, Lizzy Steeno) and Brody, Ashton, Kolton, Kinsley Maas-Baldwin; a sister and brother-in-law, Jackie (Eric) Oleson, Port Washington; a brother-in-law, Ron Anderson, Florida; Sandy Anderson, Athelstane; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gertrude and Chester Anderson, his brother-in-law, Wayne Anderson and infant twin brothers-in-law, Jerry and Gary Anderson.
Visitation for John will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 9:00 am until the memorial service at 11:00 am with Rev. James Carlson officiating.
