Jack Gloeckler, age 93, Green Bay, WI, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025. He was born April 12, 1931 in South Milwaukee, WI to the late William F. and Caroline (Koch) Gloeckler.
He graduated from Marquette University in 1953 after which he married Frances Sajdak. Very shortly after marriage he was inducted into the U.S. Army and eventually stationed at Madigan Army Hospital in Tacoma, WA where his wife joined him. After his discharge from the service in 1955, Jack and Fran moved to Madison, WI, Davenport, IA, Greendale, WI, Cottage Grove, MN and Green Bay, WI while following job opportunities offered by his employer.
Jack worked for LCL Transit Company and then P & S Investment Company, Inc. for 32 years and after retiring as Executive Vice President continued to serve on the Board of Directors for another 18 years until 2012.
After retiring from active employment Jack and Fran established a home in Arizona spending 7 months a year there. They made many friends there and enjoyed their home, friends and many activities very much. The warm months were spent in Green Bay enjoying family activities and friends.
Jack was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather, and was excited to meet his first great-grandchild last year.
Jack’s siblings: William T. Gloeckler, Gladys Schumacher and Ann Saksefski preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife: Fran, sons: Jeff (Pam) Gloeckler, and Ted (Barb) Gloeckler of Green Bay; daughters: Nancy (Kevin) Collins of Green Bay and Lori (Hugo) Rojas of Whitefish Bay, WI; six grandchildren: John (Deedra) E. Gloeckler, Grant (Erica) Gloeckler, Cameron Collins, Caralyn Collins, Lucas Rojas and Elena Rojas; one great-granddaughter: Henrietta Gloeckler.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., Green Bay after which a memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Military Honors will be accorded by VFW post 2037. Inurnment will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
