Judith "Judy" Goddard Obituary

Judith “Judy” Goddard, age 83, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully June 13, 2021, at home, with loving family by her side. The daughter of the late Louis and Lois (Hunt) Bosman was born on December 27, 1937 in Ripon, WI. She grew up in Princeton, WI, graduating from Princeton High School in 1956. In 1957, Judy graduated from St. Vincent’s Orphanage Child-Care/Nursing training program in Chicago, IL. Through the years, she took care of children and babies in several hospitals. November 30, 1963, Judy married Roger Goddard, together they raised their family in Green Bay, WI. Roger preceded her in death in 2004. Judy loved spending time with her family, attending the many special events of her grandchildren, and getting to know their friends.  They always knew they had her support and love. Judy never hesitated to help others and loved being around babies and children any chance she could. She was a kind and special lady, who said little, but when she did, it meant something. Judy loved her many dogs, grand-dogs, and great-grand-dogs through the years, and spoiled them rotten, feeding them table scraps and showering them with attention.

Judy is survived by three children, Barry (Linda), Green Bay, Jean Van Straten, Green Bay, and Bill (Debbie), Oconomowoc, seven grandchildren, Kailey (Andy) Geniesse, Nate Goddard, Miranda Van Straten (special friend Tyler Halloran), Charlie (Sophi) Van Straten, Carli Goddard (special friend Tylor Skodras), Danielle Goddard, and Mia Goddard, brother Joe (Janice) Bosman, sister-in-law Beverly (Cletus) Schmitt, brothers-in-law Glenn (Sharen) Goddard, Brad (Renny) Goddard, and Jerry (Sue) Goddard, sister-in-law Kay Goddard (special friend Jackie), and many nieces and nephews, and many special friends she made along the way.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-and-father-in law Rita and Sherman Goddard, her sisters Virginia Krueger (brother-in-law, Kenyan) and Helen Bosman, Brothers-and sisters-in-law Jean (Harry) Hanel, and Dennis Goddard.

Judy’s family would like to thank Unity Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Judy, especially Cindy, Jenna and Kristen, as well as the many others who participated in her care.  We would also like to thank Alex, who came in and helped care for Judy during the last months of her life.
