Karen (Sorenson) Meetz, age 79, Ashwaubenon, passed away with her husband at her side Tuesday, June 1, 2021 just two days short of her 60th wedding anniversary to Tom. She was born February 26, 1942 to the late Milton and Rosella (Van Erem) Sorensen in Green Bay. Karen was a graduate of Green Bay East High School and received a Business Associate Degree upon graduation from N.W.T.I.
She was employed for 42 years with R. R. Donnelly Company, retiring as Pre - Press and Office Manager in 2003. She was employed as a stylist in fashion at Apricot Lane Boutique since 2015. Karen was a charter member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Parish. On June 3, 1961, she married Tom Meetz at St. John the Baptist Church. Karen touched the lives of everyone she met. Family and faith were the priorities of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Tom; her children, Brian (Dottie) Meetz, Brad Meetz, and Chrystal (Rich) Zank; four grandchildren, Bradley (Katlyn) Meetz, Josh (Andrea) Zank, Eric (Kayla) Zank and Graham Meetz; six great-grandchildren, Griffin and Quinn Meetz, Addie and Parker Zank and Kason and Krew Zank; her brother, Keith Sorenson; her sister-in-law, Pat Sorenson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Sorenson.
Visitation for Karen will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida Street. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
