Karyl F. Hahn, age 87, of Eagle River passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at her daughter’s home in Green Bay.
Karyl was born April 16, 1938 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Milton and Roberta (Rystrom) Berdelman. She was a graduate of Rufus King High School, then received a BA from UW Milwaukee and a MA from Marquette University. On January 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to Henry Hahn in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2016.
Karyl enjoyed playing cards, doing genealogy, looking out at her lake up north and the mountain views in Arizona, but mostly spending time with her family.
Karyl was a French teacher at Brookfield Academy for over 30 years and a tutor for international students.
Survivors include her daughters: Stephanie Zusy (Jeff) and Jessika Scharp (Craig); grandchildren: Megan Roeder (Charles), Alex Scharp (Manny), Taylor Hartwig (Travis), and Ashley Scharp (Renz); great grandchildren: Addison, Elliott, Leila, Ivy, and Anna. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Karyl was preceded in death by her parents Milton & Roberta Berdelman, her husband Henry Hahn, and her brothers Milt and Bill.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, Green Bay. Entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
