Kathleen "Kathie" Louise Engels

Kathleen “Kathie” Louise Engels, 76, of Green Bay passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Kathie was born on July 27, 1947 in Green Bay to William and Virginia (Cormier) Smith. She was a graduate of East De Pere High School. On March 4, 1967, she married David Engels. Kathie was an administrative assistant to Dr. Darrell Angus for over 19 years. Kathie enjoyed fishing, and trips to the casino. Kathie had a servants heart and enjoyed helping anyone who needed anything. Kathie cherished time with her family, especially attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.

Kathie is survived by her husband: David; children: Dawn (Chuck) Forster-Bockelman, Becky (Jim) Engels-Leurquin, Mark (Kathi) Engels; grandchildren: Josh, Alyssa, and Hunter; great-grandchildren: Brycen, Kaylee, and Aubrey; sister: Ginny (James) Blasczyk; and faithful companion: Lucy. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kathie was preceded in death by her parents.

A life celebration to honor Kathie’s life will be held at her residence on her birthday, July 27, 2024. Times will be announced closer to the celebration of life.
