Lester “Les” Arthur Hoefler, 93, of Green Bay passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his home from a broken heart.
Les was born on February 12, 1932 in New Holstein to Edward and Anna (Hartman) Hoefler. On January 2, 1952, he married Fern Greve. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2025. Les owned and operated his own roofing and siding business, Roofing for Less by Les, an Arctic Cat Dealer in New Holstein and the Holiday Court in St. Germain, he also managed the Motel 6 in Green Bay. Les was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music, woodworking, woodburning, and making stained glass along with Fern.
Les is survived by his children: Bonnie (Wayne) Bailey, Cynthia (Dave) Worthen, Lori (Mike) Keltesch, Tammie Bernsteen, and Jennifer (Joe) Minaudo; son-in-law: Lee Halbach; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother: George (Millie) Hoefler. He is further survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Les was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Anna Hoefler; his wife: Fern Hoefler; two daughters: Deborah Lindquist and Sherry Halbach; great-granddaughter: Heaven; brothers and sisters: Joseph Hoefler, Evelyn (Robert) Koening, Veronica (Ellsworth) Buchman, Mary (Charles) Grube, Edmund Hoefler Jr., Lucille (Ervin) Koening, Herbert (Stella) Hoefler, and Edward Hoefler; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Alfred and Florence Greve; step-father-in-law: George Schmidt; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Clyde (Sue) Greve.
Per Les’ wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being held.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice, specifically Rabihah, Scotty, Kang, Kelly (sis), and Marie, who have been sent to the family by God, for all the care, compassion, and support given to Les, Fern and their family.
