Loretta M Kroening

Loretta M. (Brengle) Kroening, 88, formerly of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away on December 2, 2022 with her daughter, Doreen and son-in-law, Rick by her side.

Loretta was born to the late Paul Willis and Loretta Azalea (DeSotell) Brengle on November 3, 1934 in Aurora, IL. Loretta graduated West High School in Rockford, IL in 1953. While on vacation with her friend Barb, in Newport Road Island, she met Larry Kroening and in January of 1956 they were married at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rockford, IL.

Loretta was a homemaker for most of her life up until 1977 when Loretta started working for Avon as a Sales Representative. During her 40 years’ time with Avon, she made the Presidents Club every year until she retired in October of 2017.  Loretta also worked for American Greeting Cards for 15 years as a merchandiser from 1978-1993.

Throughout her life, Loretta enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Boot Lake, listening to country music and spending time with family and friends. Many people knew her love, as well as Larry’s love, of Green Bay Packers. They became Packer season ticket holders and attended as many games as they could together in their younger years.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Larry of 49 years and her daughter, Debra Ann. She is survived by her daughter Doreen (Rick) Williams and son Dwayne(Shawnee) Kroening, her grandchildren, Shawn (Carrie) and Jennifer Lynn, and great-grandchildren, Ciara, Corra, step-great-grandchildren, Carson and Carter.

Funeral services will be held at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
