Margaret Kalishek Obituary

Margaret Dorothy Kalishek, 88, of Green Bay passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at her home.

Margaret was born on January 19, 1938 in Carney, MI to Francis and Selina (Veraghen) Macco. She graduated High School and then pursued a career in hairdressing with her friend Pat. In 1957, she married Richard Kalishek, he preceded her in death in 2015. Margaret was a member of Windjammers and Moose Lodge chapter 801. Margaret was a member of St. Agnes Parish for 63 years and enjoyed volunteering at St. Patrick’s Food Pantry and the Greater Green Bay Area.

Margaret is survived by her sons: Christopher Kalishek and Mike Kalishek; and sisters: Jean Chapman, Linda Hurtado, and Rena (Ralph) Rott. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents: Francis and Selina Macco; husband: Richard Kalishek; two brothers: Dale Macco, and Francis Macco Jr.; and brother-in-law: Gerald Chapman.

Per Margaret’s wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. On June 28, 2026 at St Agnes Catholic Church, the 8:15 am mass will be offered for the repose of the soul of Margaret.
