Marion DeWitt Obituary

Marion M DeWitt, age 88, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at New Perspective Senior Living, Howard. 

Marion was born on April 6, 1932 in Casco, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Alvin and Edna (DeBaker) Malcore.  Marion married Joseph (Scooter) DeWitt on April 24, 1954 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Suamico.  He preceded her in death on September 16, 2009.  Marion was a longtime active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  She enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends and family.  Marion loved family gatherings that involved cooking and baking.  Family was incredibly important to Marion beginning with her marriage to Scooter.  He learned to dance, and she learned to shoot and hunt so they could share lifelong interests.

Marion is survived by five children, Mark (Laurie Jarvey) DeWitt, Suamico, Scott (Carla) DeWitt, Suamico, Michael (Kathy Obey) DeWitt, Howard, Kim (Jay Brennan) DeWitt, Suamico, Julie (Tom) Mecklenburg, Hobart; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Ed) Borowitz, Andrea (Michael) Ayres, Danielle (Jerrell) Matthews, Casey (Dale) Hopper, Adam DeWitt, Brooke (Andy) Watters, Trent Syrjamaki, Samm Mecklenburg; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Hopper, Avery Hopper, Calvin Syrjamaki; one brother, Carl (Lynn) Malcore.  Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. 

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. 

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue.  Officiating at the service will be

The Rev. Bobbi Kraft.  Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Marion’s name.
