Marion H. Schmeling

Marion H. Schmeling, age 85, passed away Saturday December 2, 2023, at Woodside Lutheran Home.  She was born August 24, 1938, in Shawano to the late Frank and Emma (Brodhagen) Ebert. Marion married Lloyd Schmeling on June 20, 1959 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2012.  Marion worked at Liecht Transfer and Storage and Hansen’s Dairy before becoming a stay-at-home mom to raise their two children. 

Marion enjoyed being involved in many aspects at Redeemer Lutheran Church, along with spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her son: Kevin (Missy) Schmeling; her daughter: Janelle (Jason) Walton; four grandchildren: Kendra and Taylor Schmeling, and Mallory and Montana Walton; and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, and two sisters, Grace Ebert and Elaine Ebert. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023, at 11:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 S. Oneida St, Green Bay with Pastor Paul Pett officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Nicolet Memorial Gardens at a later date.
