Marjorie Gajafsky Obituary

Marjorie Lea Gajafsky, (Sundlie) was welcomed to the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ and the love of her life, husband Ralph, Her beautiful daughter Nancy, and her firstborn Grandson Kergan, along with the great cloud of witnesses on September 10, 2024.

Marge was born in March, 1930 in South Dakota. During high school, Margie moved to Suamico, Wisconsin with her mom; Nola Kooyman (Deceased), and step-father, Clarence (Deceased), brother Dwayne Sundlie (Deceased), and siblings, (Jack, Carol, (Deceased), and Rod Kooyman). Suamico Methodist church is where Marge met the Love of her life, Ralph Gajafsky (Deceased).  They married in 1947.

They had four children while living in Suamico, Wisconsin. Daughter Sharon Brandt, grandson Kergan (Deceased) great granddaughter Lauren, granddaughter Jennifer, great grandson Stone. Daughter Nancy Curry (Deceased)and Bill, grandson Mike, grandson Todd and Ally, great grandsons Keeton, Deacon, and Wilson. Son Roger and Socorro Gajafsky, granddaughter Jessica and Ruslan, great granddaughter Sophia, granddaughter Janine and Angel, great grandson Jaden, granddaughter Victoria, grandsons Josiah and Ulyssus. Daughter Lori Maves and Tom Maves, granddaughter Melissa and Joel, great grandchildren Adrianna and Matheu, grandson Mike and Cassandra, granddaughter Mackenzie and Rich, great grandson Charlie and granddaughter Krista.

Marge and Ralph moved to Green Bay in 1969 and built a life of Faith, Prayer and hospitality. Marge was also fashion model for several years throughout the Fox valley area

Marge was very involved in Green Bay’s Christian Women’s Club. Though soft spoken, Marge was a mighty intercessory prayer warrior in the Christian community world-wide. Many lives were impacted and prayers answered because Marge prayed.

Marge and Ralph were instrumental in bringing Jesus to Green Bay through the Thanksgiving Day Speakers at the Brown County Arena in the 1970’s, and the “The Biggie,” an evangelical outreach to teenagers.

Marge and Ralph started the Youth retreats at the Suamico Methodist church, and at Joyful Acres Campground in northern Wis., (they also helped build the “new” Suamico Methodist church building during the 1950’s). Marge and Ralph were also Members of Gideons International. Ralph and Marge were very involved with the Green Bay Community church, Central Assembly of God church in Green Bay, and most recently Highland Crest Baptist church in Green Bay.

Margie was a loving, faithful wife for 70 years to Ralph. They loved to share Jesus’ love for everyone they met. Marge and Ralph moved to DePere in 1998 so Marge could support and care for her mother in her later years. Marge was a best friend and confidant to many who called her friend. Margie was a classy, refined lady with a twinkle in her eye who especially loved babies. She always had a smile and chuckle for any baby within eyesight. Marge was beautiful inside and out, especially as she cared for Ralph during his declining health. We, as her children were blessed to witness her model relentless kindness toward those around her. She loved her family deeply.
