On January 31, 2026 with a smile on her face, she happily walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her family and loved ones have been well prepared for years and she prays they are joyous at her passage into her next life.
Marjorie was born July 25, 1931 in Racine, daughter of the late Otto and Martha (Patzke) Marks. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School with the Class of 1949. Marjorie lived in many places; Racine until she was a junior in high school when her parents moved to Plainfield; Port Edwards for work; and then Stevens Point for work. She then married Sylvester Pavlowski on December 13, 1952 and they moved to Chicago for two years. Marjorie then moved back to Stevens Point, then Oshkosh (where they had twin baby boys born prematurely that didn’t survive) and finally to Green Bay where she announced “I’m done moving, this is where I shall stay”. She was never sorry for staying.
Their daughter Cindy arrived first, followed by their son Karl. Finally a Mom, it was her best job ever. After a while, she and Sylvester divorced and she was employed at St. Vincent Hospital for 30 years as a medical transcriptionist in diagnostic radiology. She was very happy with her job until the time of her retirement in 2003. Marjorie kept busy visiting friends in assisted living facilities and nursing homes. She enjoyed, oh so much, meeting with friends Leanne, Candy and Lori every month for dinner and celebrations. In 2021 she lost her daughter Cindy to cancer and she missed her dearly.
Survivors include her son Karl (Michelle) Pavlowski; grandchildren William and Katie Jo, great grandchildren Walker, Remi, River and Willow; as well as other relatives and friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Otto & Martha Marks, her daughter Cindy, her granddaughter Maggie Elizabeth Pavlowski, her brother Fred (Jewel) Marks and her brother Herb (Sandy) Marks.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2026 at Calvary Lutheran Church.
