Mark S. Metzner

Mark S. Metzner, age 70, passed away Saturday April 29, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Green Bay.  Mark was born May 18, 1952, to the late Harold and Marjorie (Hall) Metzner in Wheaton, Illinois.  He graduated from Southwest High School in Green Bay.  In 1985 he married Kathleen Blaies, together they shared 37 years of marriage.  Mark purchased Culligan Water Conditioner in Green Bay from his father and then owned Culligan until his retirement.  Mark served in the Army National Guard for 20 years.

Mark enjoyed bowling, pool and golf with Dan, Jim, and others.

Survivors include his wife: Kathleen (Kathy); two sons: Jason Metzner, and Nicolas Metzner; one sister: Marcia (Mark) Christiansen; four brothers: David (Marcia) Metzner, Jim (Renee) Metzner, Rick (Sharon) Metzner, and Thomas (Maxine) Metzner; Bonus children: Tim (Ann Tanneberg) Hakes, Tom (Diana) Hakes and Gerald (Kay Prey) Hakes; bonus grandchildren: Cheyenne, Veronica, Lily Hakes and Morgan (Jeff) Barg; many nieces, nephews, bonus great grandchildren, good friends, and neighbors also survive.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; and his son: Jesse Metzner.

A funeral service will be held Thursday May 4, 2023, at 7:00 pm at The Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay.  Visitation will occur beginning at 4:00 pm until the time of service.
