Marlene Kuskowski Obituary

Marlene Joan Kuskowski, 87, a longtime resident of Green Bay, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family May 18, 2021, after entering hospice care in February 2021. Born in Cudahy, WI, to the late Stanley and Josephine Anuszewski, she was known for her selfless, supportive and caring nature.

In 1954, Marlene married Jerome Kuskowski at Holy Family Church in Cudahy. As a young family, they relocated to Japan, where Jerome was stationed with the Air Force. This experience sparked their mutual love of world travel. Throughout their 64 years together, Marlene and Jerome traveled throughout Europe and the Holy Land, along with trips across the U.S. to celebrate milestones with their children and grandchildren.

Marlene was a loving wife, mother, friend and neighbor to all. She was a conversationalist beyond compare and will be remembered fondly for her ease of connection with others, which resulted in lifelong friendships too numerous to count. With a creative flair for design, Marlene loved making her house into a beautiful home, shopping to find the best deals and creating her own decorative pieces. In her free time, she enjoyed attending theater performances and exploring local stores, museums, art exhibits and gardens.

Dedicated to her faith and service to others, Marlene was a world-class volunteer. At both St. Agnes and Nativity Parishes, she served on numerous committees, taught religious education and brought communion to the homebound, as well as volunteering for Love Life Ministry. She volunteered with the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitor’s Bureau greeting Packer fans at Lambeau Field. After moving to Felician Village in Manitowoc, WI, Marlene became an ambassador to new residents and invited people to participate in the rosary group.

Marlene is preceded in death by her husband (Jerome), brother (Joseph), and sisters (Geraldine and Ester). She is survived by her loving children Mary Jo (Brent) Combs, Dallas, TX; Kathleen Wessel, St. Louis, MO; Sue (Richard) Noack, San Jose, CA; Jeanne (John) Littel, Madison, WI; Steven (Kim) Kuskowski, St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her family expresses their appreciation and gratitude to all her loving friends and caregivers at Agrace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Agrace Hospice, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711, or the American Cancer Society.
