On March 16, 2026, our beloved mother, Melodee Ann Peot, 89 peacefully left this earthly life, and entered the presence of her Lord.
Born in Green Bay, WI on July 29, 1936, she was the oldest daughter of Danail and Jessie (Giese) Casper.
Melodee graduated with the class of “54 from Green Bay West High.
On June 18, 1955, she married the love of her life, Robert J. Peot. Their love was an enduring testament to the strength of commitment. Together they raised three beautiful children, Cindee, Pennee and Michael.
Together as a team they built a construction business, Peot Construction & Trucking Inc.-Melodee, an unwavering partner through long hours, sacrifice and shared dreams. Together, they built not only a successful business, but a legacy grounded in integrity, hard work and family devotion. The two of them made a team in every sense of the word, and now they’re together again.
Melodee’s greatest love in life was her family. She took so much pride in her children and grandchildren. Melodee small in stature but mighty in spirit and strength was always measured by her grandchildren and they would be so excited when the day came and was taller than her!
Melodee spent her free time together with family and friends, traveling in their motor coach. Helping navigate many miles while knitting and crocheting, countless pairs of socks, slippers, and mittens to name a few! Many memories were made at their cottage on Legend Lake. Melodee had a special love for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flowers, and plants, always with a chocolate lab nearby.
Melodee’s legacy lives through her daughter Pennee (Russ) Chrisman, son, Michael (Cindy) Peot, son in law, Nick Van De Yacht. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Nick (Mary Ellen) Van De Yacht, Jessie Van De Yacht, Carrie (Chris) Schierl, J.J. (Cassandra) Margitan, Aimee (Nick) Dorsey, Alyssa (Kevin) Chrisman, Jacob (Julie) Peot, Jesse (Lauren) Peot. She was overjoyed to be a great grandmother to Logan (Madeline), Alayna, Rhiana, Caleb, Cullin, Peyton, Ethan, Jace, Ryker, Kinlee, Jada, Viviana, Rhett, and Levi. Siblings: Carleen Slusarek, Danail (Monica) Casper.
Melodee was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Robert, daughter Cindee, her parents, Danail & Jessie Casper, infant brother, Joseph, father and mother-in-law Robert & Leone Peot, brothers-in-law Dennis Peot, Richard White, Donald Slusarek, and sister-in-law Gail Peot.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Emerald Bay Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate and exceptional care. The staff went out of their way to connect with our mom and become an extension of our family.
Dementia is a thief, and words cannot describe how much we will miss you mom, but we know that heaven is rejoicing as you return home. We wait for the day in which we are all reunited. We love you!
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 17, 2026, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield Lane, Suamico, WI with the Reverend Demosthenes Olaso officiating. Visitation will occur from 9 AM until time of service at 11 AM.
