Meredith “Mitzi” Bero, 81, passed away after a brief illness on February 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 15, 1941, to Brad & Bernie Landry. Mitzi graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1959, worked for Green Bay Aviation, and spent many years in the attendance office at Pulaski High School.
Mitzi married Jim Bero on August 11, 1962; they enjoyed 61 beautiful years together.
Mitzi is survived by her husband, Jim; her children: Tammy (John) Leurquin, Amy (Chris) Larson, and Crystal (Tim) Winter; grandchildren: Nick Larson, Kiara (Alex) Dammen, Ryan Larson, Marisa Leurquin, Devin (Kiyanna) Winter, Kelsie Leurquin, and Dylon (Michaella) Winter; great grandchildren: Peyton Winter, Maizie Dammen, and Baby Winter (due July). She is further survived by her sister, Sue (Phil) Young; in-laws: Jerry (Jan) Bero, Marge Bero, Shirley (Charlie) Drace, Butch (Sue) Bero; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Barb (Pete) Greene; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Mitzi’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved taking care of others, time spent up at the cottage, and all the friends they met Square Dancing and while wintering in Gulf Shores.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm with a memorial service at 1:00 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay.
