Michael J. Christiansen, age 84, of Green Bay passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, with family by his side.
Mike was born January 13, 1942, in Green Bay, son of the late Sigurd and Evelyn (McDermid) Christiansen. He attended Pulaski High School, and upon graduation, he enlisted in the Navy. During his service in the Navy, he traveled to all four hemispheres and was active in the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was united in marriage to the former Roberta Marcey on January 18, 1991.
Mike worked as semi-driver starting his career with Glendenning Trucking Company before retiring in 1999, after forty-five years driving for Consolidated Freightways. Mike enjoyed his weekends up-north making firewood for his cherished family room fireplace. He also enjoyed his backyard garden, sitting on the swing watching the birds, and working in his shop welding and “fixing” things. He enjoyed Sunday Packers football and the flyovers through his backyard. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors, picking up their leaves in the fall, or helping if ever needed. Above all, Mike was a kind, patient, gentle soul. He was a devoted husband and loved his kids and grandkids dearly.
Survivors include his wife Roberta “Bobbie” Christiansen, his four sons: Dennis Christiansen, Green Bay, Michael "Mick" (Melanie) Christiansen Jr., Pulaski, Kyle Christiansen, Sobieski, Ned Christiansen, Suamico, and stepdaughter, Andrea (Dan) Semrau, Ashwaubenon; eleven grandchildren: Kayla and Jenna Christiansen, Alex (Tori) Christiansen, Samantha (David) Foertsch, Jamie (Riku) Inoue, Katie Christiansen, Sydney, Devan, and Anthony Christiansen, Robert and Alec Semrau; five greatgrandchildren: Eden, Everly and Ezra Christiansen, Dawson and Bennet Foertsch; sister, Margaret Hilbert, sisters-in law, Mary (David) Pensis, Rosanne Van Laanen, Amy (Chris) Cuene, and many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Sigurd and Evelyn Christiansen, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Shirley Marcey; brothers Walter "Wally" and Dennis Christiansen, brothers-in-law, Larry Hilbert, Steve Van Laanen, and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Christiansen and Patricia (Pat) Kurth.
