Michael "Mike" James Connell

Michael J. Connell, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, with his fiancée, Carol Shelbrack by his side. He was born in 1955, Bridgeport, Connecticut, the son of James M. and Loretta (Frawley) Connell.

Michael grew up in Stratford. He graduated from Bunnell High School in 1974, and from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. degree in Integrated Communication. He earned several marketing degrees and design patents.

Michael was a most kind, caring, humble, and loving man. He had been living many years with serious health issues, yet he would always be thankful for each day.

Michael was a champion swimmer and surfer who enjoyed designing and building anything from his first boat as a teen to designing yachts. He was the owner of Connell Marketing and worked with Kathleen Zeitler from Signs That Sell. His designing ability was a gift that would WOW you. Many of his jobs took him around the world which he enjoyed.

Michael is survived by his fiancée, Carol Shelbrack, and his brother Edward (Judy) Connell, and nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Maw.
