Neil W. Dunsmoor

Neil Walter Dunsmoor, age 85, passed away on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Arvilla (Abendroth) Dunsmoor on December 21,1937.

Neil graduated from Green Bay East High School with the class of 1956. He worked as a salesman for AMF, at Fairmont Ice Cream, and then retired as a financial advisor for Prudential.

He married Lynne Hayward on July 25, 1980, and they spent many happy years together, traveling and enjoying life.

Neil was also an avid fisherman and hunter, and spent a lot of his free time “up north” pursuing these interests with his friends and family. 

He is survived by his children: Marcia, Pete (Sue), Russell (Jason) Dunsmoor; step-son: Mark Friberg (Jill).  He is also survived by four grandsons: Adam and David Dunsmoor, Nicholas and Grant Friberg; and one brother: Bill (Mary) Dunsmoor.

Neil was preceded in death by his wife: Lynn; parents: Arvilla and Walter Dunsmoor; a sister: Peggy Jadin; and son Randall Dunsmoor.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, at The Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Earl Vorpagel III officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm. Neil will be laid to rest in Aurora, WI at a later date.
