Orville "Orv" Hendricks

Orville “Orv” Hendricks, age 90, formerly of Hobart, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was the sixth of eight children born to Antone and Wilhelmina (Van Lanen) Hendricks on September 16, 1932 in De Pere. He attended West De Pere High School. He married his forever sweetheart Evelyn “Ev” Zepnick on September 2, 1953 and shared 65 years together until her passing in 2018.

Orv enjoyed life as a dairy farmer, raising a family that worked together and vacationed together too. Orv and Ev later created the beautiful Rolling Heights subdivision. Orv also enjoyed traveling, bowling, cards, hunting, ice fishing, cookouts, and spending time with family at many reunions. He will be remembered as a man of faith, strength, positivity, humor, and grace.

He is survived by his children: Marilyn Bazett-Jones of Green Bay; Laurie (Bill) Beckman of Granger, IN; Len (Linda) Hendricks of Lodi, WI; and Lyle (Kathy) Hendricks of Orofino, ID; grandchildren: Zach Westerman, Alyssa Westerman, Jason Beckman, Chris Beckman, Ryan (Emily) Hendricks, Stephanie (Josh Richards) Hendricks; and great-grandchildren Caroline and Chloe Richards; along with one sister Eleanor Gauthier and two sisters-in-law, Rose Hendricks and Marilou Hendricks.

Orv was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Evelyn; infant son Joseph; son-in-law Ted Bazett-Jones; and several siblings and their spouses: Marie (Charles) Peters, Henrietta (Bob) Christianson, Norbert (Reg) Hendricks, Harold Hendricks, Rita (Ken) Boyea, Wilbert Hendricks and Dan Gauthier.

A celebration of his life will be held on April 22, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Parish, Oneida, 145 St. Josephs St., Hobart, WI. Visitation will occur from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
