Patricia Larson Obituary

Patricia Kay Larson, age 93, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday March 5, 2025 with family by her side at Aurora BayCare.  Her daughter Kris stayed by her side for her entire stay.  She was born September 26, 1931 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin to the late George and Alta (Clementson) Larrabee.

Patricia’s family moved at a young age from Hertel, WI to her beloved hometown of La Crosse, WI.  She graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1949.  Pat married Richard Larson on June 5, 1954 at English Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI.  He preceded her in death on March 24, 1998.

She attended two years of college, then working at Standard Oil until her husband relocated for work to Oshkosh, WI and then again to Green Bay, WI.  Her daughter Kris was born in 1955, and she settled in as a stay at home mom for several years.  Her son Dan was born in 1961.

In 1971 Pat returned to work, first with Mutual of New York, and then to Equitable Financial.  Exceptionally smart and extremely hard working, she quickly rose through the ranks to become an Operations Manager.  She won multiple awards at Equitable for her excellent work. She was beloved by many of her agents.  She retired from Equitable in 1989.  As retirement did not suit her, she returned to work running payroll at NWTC.

Pat was passionate about two things: her faith and family.  A member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church for 64 years, she served on or directed several committees including, Lutheran World Relief and the Church Council.  She did much of this while working full time.  Pat made many great lifelong friends at Bethel.

Pat loved making things for her family.  Whenever someone in our family had a child, she would knit them their own personal Christmas stocking.  Thankfully we have a fairly small family, or she might have had to run to JoAnn Fabrics for more yarn.  She also designed and made her daughter Kris’s wedding dress, which received several compliments at Kris and Kurt’s wedding. Pat was also a somewhat talented artist, although she didn’t have much time for that while she was dedicating herself to being a mom.  Pat did manage to paint a wonderful oil landscape of her parents’ retirement property in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin to celebrate their 50 years of marriage.

She will be missed by many, but we know she is in a better place, being reunited with her family and friends that preceded her to Heaven.

Pat is survived by: daughter: Kristen Dally; son: Dan Larson; Grandchildren: Karl (Emily) Dally, Kate (Casey) Tree, Hallie Larson and Zach Larson; three great grandchildren: Evan and Austin Tree and Tate Dally; Brother-in-law: Retired Colonel David (Lu) Larson; very special neighbors: Sara and Fran Pirman; and friend since grade school: Marilyn Skarpac.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Alta Larrabee; husband: Richard Larson; brother: Roger Larrabee; son-in-law: Kurt Dally; sister-in-law: Joyce Brose.
