Patricia Miller Obituary

Patricia (Patty) M. Miller, age 83, of Ashwaubenon, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.  She was born on May 6, 1936 to the late Harvey and Francis (Stein) Olsen in Denmark, Wisconsin.

Patty graduated from Green Bay West High School with the class of 1954.  One year after graduation, she met and fell in love with Jim Miller.  They were married at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Green Bay on April 30, 1955.  They celebrated 64 years together.  Patty and Jim were blessed with five wonderful children, Jimmy, Kathy (John) Hermsen, Jeff, Vicky Stebbins, and Joe and special companion, Robin Oshefsky.   After the youngest son started school, Patty worked at the Forum Supper Club, which later became the Midway Motor Lodge where she worked for many years.  After that, she worked at the Airport Gift Shop and then for fifteen years at Copps west side grocery store.

Patty and Jim and their family enjoyed vacationing at different resorts until they purchased their own place in Crivitz.  She loved snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, bowling and playing the slots, especially when she won at numerous casinos.  Patty was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years which she enjoyed very much.  Other things Patty enjoyed were taking care of her flowers, feeding and watching the birds, squirrels and rabbits and going to lunch with friends and family.  One of her favorite events was meeting for breakfast with several of the gals she graduated with once a month at the Bay Restaurant, reliving many memories. She and Jim went on many bus trips, flying to Las Vegas and taking several cruises.  Patty was a member of the Woman of the Moose Lodge #451 of Ashwaubenon.

Patty was happy to have lived long enough to enjoy her grandchildren, Jessica (Jay) Schwartz and Christopher Draper and her great-grandchildren, Hope, Brandon, Emalee Dachelet, Jacob Schwartz, Chris Jr. and MaKenna Draper.

Patty is survived by her husband, Jim, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Tom Olsen; her sister, Bonnie (Bob) King; her brother-in-law, John (Clare) Miller and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, Robert (Bill) Stebbins, her mother-in-law, Mabel and her brothers-in-law, Robert, Jerry and Richard Miller.
