Patricia L. (Kroll) Vander Perren, age 92, passed away with family by her side on Sunday November 26, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. She was born May 5, 1931 in Green Bay to the late Harry and Caroline (Lagerquist) Kroll. Her mother Caroline started putting pats of butter on her hamburger sandwiches in 1932, and Pat proudly carried on this Wisconsin tradition as the owner and manager of Kroll’s West restaurant adjacent to Lambeau Field until her retirement in 1996.
Patricia loved spending time on her favorite beach in Grand Cayman. There she enjoyed the company of her friends and family with a Mai Tai in her hand while taking in beautiful sunsets and playing cards.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Roberta and husband Michael Wier, son William Vander Perren and wife Annette. She is also survived by grandchildren Nicole Steinmetz, Andrea Tahlier, Drew Vander Perren, Nell Germain and Clark Vander Perren, and by her seven great grandchildren Dempsey and Declan Steinmetz, August, Avett, and Arlen Tahlier, Luna and Aria Vander Perren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Patricia on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 11:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., Green Bay, with Father Matt Simonar officiating. Visitation will occur from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. Visitation will also take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at The Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay.
