Paul D. Bartel

Paul D. Bartel, age 69, of Green Bay passed away on Thursday January 19, 2023, after a courage battle with cancer, at the Jack & Ingrid Meng Hospice Residence, DePere. 

Paul was born July 7, 1953, in Green Bay, son of the late Bernie and Fay (Pierquet) Bartel.  He was a graduate of West High School with the class of 1971.

Paul enjoyed being outside doing bicycling, gardening, and traveling.  He also enjoyed spending time with his Thursday night meeting group “Just for Today”.  Paul was proud of his many steps and counseling others with Narcotics Anonymous. 

Survivors include his brothers and sisters:  Dennis (Jane) Bartel, Parker, CO, Don (Pat) Bartel, Green Bay, Diane (Paul Schuette) Oshefsky, Greenlea,; Phil (Sandy) Bartel, Green Bay, Dave (Betsy) Bartel, Duluth MN, Todd (Sally Krueger), Green Bay, Susan (Jeff) Selner, Kewaunee, Rob (Julie) Bartel, Mari (Pete) Amenson, all of Green Bay. Many Nieces and Nephews; Great Nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his special friend Rose Arias and good friends Tom Wilhelm and Larry Lareby.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents Bernie & Fay Bartel and one Nephew Jacob Bartel. 

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at The Lyndahl Funeral and Cremation Services. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul’s name may be sent to Unity Hospice or American Cancer Society.
