Paul R. Vickman

Paul R. Vickman, 73, Abrams, passed away at home on October 9, 2022 due to liver cancer.

Paul was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on September 24, 1949 to Richard and Lois (Beno) Vickman. He is a graduate of Green Bay Preble High School, and furthered his education at NWTC.  Paul married Julie (Pierquet) on February 28, 1970. They were married for 52 years. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cutting wood. Better yet, going to Dick Lardnois's garage and telling tall stories.

Paul is survived by his wife Julie; together they raised three sons, Brian Vickman (Renelle Eastman), Brad Vickman, and Brett Vickman. He has 13 grandchildren: Brianna, Austin, Alexandra, Isaiah, Michael, Marissa, Ashleigh, Courtney, Dalton, Nicholas, Cassandra, Kayla, and Arik; he has 13 great-grandchildren: Aubree, London, Laken, Colt, Isabella, Kendrick, Mila, Zhavia, Oliver, Elena, Macy, Kailea, and Destyn. Also 2 more on the way; his three brothers: Peter (Jan), Patrick (Linda), and Phillip (Julie), and three sisters-in-law: Barbara Glinski, Dianne VanEgeren, and Cynthia Peirquet.

He was also survived by the Wednesday Paper Converting Machine Co. retiree breakfast group.

Paul was preceeded in death by his parents: Richard and Lois Vickman; parents-in-law: Leroy and June Pierquet; sister-in-law: Patricia Vickman; nephew: Matt Vickman, and his hunting and fishing buddies: Roger Evrard and Roger Duddek.

A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., with Rev. Josh Fite officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:30 am.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to John and Rita Wurzer for helping Paul get his bucket list trip to Alaska completed in August. He couldn't have done it without you both. Also, to Renelle Eastman and Brianna Vickman for helping us care for Paul in his final days and Unity Hospice for the support and care.
