Peter T. Leiterman, age 64, passed away on peacefully with his family by his side on December 5, 2022.
Pete was born on March 2, 1958 in Green Bay, WI to Orval and Dorothy (Hooyman) Leiterman. Pete married Kelly Carpiaux on May 11, 1984 in Green Bay, WI. Pete worked at Schreiber Foods, starting out at the plant and then went on to the distribution center, where he was employed for 45 years. Pete loved to coach his kids in baseball, softball, basketball, and golf.
Pete was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, golfer and train enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren playing with his model train collection.
Pete is survived by his wife: Kelly; his children: Phillip Leiterman, Jennifer (David) Heling, Rebecca (Jeremiah) Slade, and Sara Leiterman; nine grandchildren: Mason and Bennett Leiterman, Harper and Hunter Heling, Adalyn and Winston Slade, and Alexis, Aubrey, and Thomas Leiterman; his siblings: Jim Leiterman, Gail (Joe) Verhaagh, Lisa (Bill) Selner; in laws, Joseph and Sharon Carpiaux; many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Pete was preceded in death by his father and mother: Orval and Dorothy Leiterman.
A funeral service to celebrate Pete’s life will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 N. 9th St. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a prayer service being held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Railroad Museum located in Ashwaubenon, WI in Pete’s memory.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at Prevea-Green Bay Oncology, Froedtert, St. Vincents Hospital and Unity Hospice Care for all their care and compassion they gave to Pete.
