Priscilla Fay Obituary

Priscilla Libby Fay, age 90, of Green Bay, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.

Priscilla was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on October 7, 1932, to the late Edward and Gladys (Durfee) Libby. Priscilla graduated from A.B. Davis High School, Mount Vernon, NY with the class of 1950, and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Vermont in 1955. She was a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority. Upon graduation, Priscilla taught Pediatric Nursing at Skidmore College. However, it was at the University of Vermont that Priscilla met Marshall T. Fay, Jr.; they were married in 1957. After which, Priscilla worked in Pediatrics in Mount Vernon, NY.

Priscilla and Marshall lived in many places before retiring to Green Bay, WI: New York City, NY, Arlington Heights, IL, Kansas City, KS, Denver, CO, Minneapolis, MN, Dayton, OH and Pensacola, FL. The family cottage on Legend Lake was a family constant as they moved. In each place, Priscilla made a comfortable and loving home for her family.

She was passionate about travel and enjoyed exploring new places, from the new restaurant down the street, to Boot Hill, AZ, to Sydney, AU; she wanted to see it all. She loved driving the water-skiing boat, playing Parcheesi, reading, solving puzzles, little babies, prayer, eating out, wildflowers, lemon bars and a good conversation.

Her compassion and organizational skills made her a sought-after volunteer. Over the years she was a valued member of many church guilds, Red Cross blood drives, and service organizations including AAUW, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Green Bay Women’s Auxiliary to Shriners Hospital (Twin Cities). Since moving to Green Bay, Pilgrim Lutheran has been her Church home.

Priscilla is survived by: her husband Marshall; her children: Jennifer Fay Auge (David), Skip Fay (Mary Anderson), Ellen Fay, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Gladys.
