Richard (“Dick”) DeVore passed away Friday, May 8, 2026.
Richard was born on March 15, 1941, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was the son of David and Erna (Erica) (Shafer) DeVore. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1959.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Samuel and Clifford; and his beloved wife of 60 years, Joanne (Michaud) DeVore.
He is survived by his son, Michael DeVore; stepchildren, Lynn (David) Sternhagen and Robert (Susan) Spigarelli; brother, David (Sonja) DeVore; grandchildren, Collin and Elise Sternhagen and Bryce, Chase, Brecken, and Kaden Spigarelli; one great-grandchild, Carson Sternhagen; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard worked for 30 years at O&E Machine Company in Green Bay. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan and was an active member of the Great Lakes Sport Fishing Club for several years.
Richard’s passion was music. He played guitar and sang for family and friends at the cottage in Spread Eagle, Wisconsin, and performed for several years with the Desert Country Musicians in Casa Grande, Arizona.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Lyndahl Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in Richard’s name may be sent to the family or directly to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.
