Robert Godfrey Altergott, age 85, of Green Bay passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 in DePere.
Robert was born August 30, 1940 in Green Bay, son of the late Henry and Charlotte (Mahnke) Altergott. He was a graduate of West High School with the Class of 1958. Robert served his country with the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a master plumber working for Green Bay Packaging, Turriff Plumbing, his own business Altergott Plumbing and finishing his career with the Green Bay School District, retiring at the age of 62. After retirement, he then went on to work for the Green Bay Packers as an usher.
Robert was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was a member of the self-proclaimed Bay Family Coffee Club group. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, skiing (both snow and water), racket ball and a good game of cards or cribbage. He also enjoyed wood working, his trips to Honduras and took great pride and care in his lawn and flowers.
Robert is survived by his loving children: Kirk (Faith), Rick (Tricia), Keri and Kory (Tara); his grandchildren: Luke, Michell (Tess), Christian, Cooper, Beth (Rick), Dawn (Luke), Sydney (Max) and Kole; great grandchildren: Reid and Preston; and his nieces who held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charles (Delores) (Judy) and his sisters Shirley (Jack) Byler and Mary Ann (Don) Reimer.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 12 noon.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to his friends, nieces, neighbors and especially Ron & Shelly for their care and help given to Robert.
The love for his family was beyond measure. He was always there to lend an ear or a helping hand. The pride & joy he had for his grandchildren will forever be cherished by them. Robert never missed a sporting event or activity they were in. The individual bonds he had with each of them was incredible.
