Robert "Mike" Mitchell

Robert “Mike” Mitchell, age 76, passed away May 21, 2023. He was born to Robert and Gertrude (LeSage) Mitchell on December 25, 1946, in Milwaukee, WI. He attended Washington High School in Two Rivers, WI and graduated with the class of 1965. Following High School, Mike served our country from 1966 to 1972 by enlisting in the Marines, serving in Vietnam.  He then attended College at UWGB and received a bachelor’s degree. He married  Sharon Beckman on May 7, 1977. He was employed by Tufco as a Certified Purchasing Manager until his retirement.

Mike is survived by 8 siblings; Brothers: Peter (Kathy) Mitchell, Tisch Mills, WI; Tim Mitchell and Jim (Joann) Mitchell, Two Rivers, WI; Andy (Julie) Mitchell, Baraboo, WI; Sisters: Mary Pat (Mickey) Vaughn, Winter Springs, FL; Jeanne (Larry) Kahler, Wisconsin Dells, WI; Beth Mitchell, Oak Hill, FL; Ellyn Mitchell, Baraboo, WI; Special Friend Julie Parrish. He is also survived by Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Dick (Mary) Beckman & Dave (Colette) Beckman. There are also special nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his wife Sharon; parents; and in-laws: Rufus and Beatrice Beckman.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Green Bay, with Father James Lucas officiating. Visitation will occur from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Burial with full military honors by the Marines and Local VFW Post 2037 of Ashwaubenon will take place immediately after mass at Fort Howard Memorial Park, 1350 N. Military Ave., Green Bay.
