Roger Gegare, age 81, of Lakewood, WI passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2023. Roger was born on October 13, 1941, in Green Bay to Earl and Dorothy (Harrison) Gegare. Roger enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1958 and was honorably discharged. On May 1, 1965, he married Mary Walton at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Green Bay, together they shared 57 years of marriage. Roger was employed at Diana Mfg/ Kendall Co. for 35 Years until his retirement in 1997. In his free time, Roger enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, spending winters in Florida and cherished time spent with family and friends in Lakewood. He was an avid Packers fan and was well known for his handyman skills, he would help anyone at any time with anything from electrical wiring to well drilling.
Roger is survived by his wife: Mary; their children: Bill (Cindy) Gegare and Mike (Brenda) Gegare; grandchildren: Ben (Katie) Gegare, Stacey (Tony) May, Heidi (Matt) Riha; five great grandchildren: Kaylor, Rowan, Lydia, Nolan and Jaxon; Sister: Katie (Larry) LaPierre; brothers-in-law: Raymond Williquette, Jim (Michelle) Walton, Pete (Connie) Walton, Bill (Patti) Walton; sister-in-law: Marge (Bill) Stary, He is further survived numerous by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law; sisters: Rose Mary Fuss, Betty Williquette, Carol Jean Gegare; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 18, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1350 Lombardi Ave with Sister Helen Plum officiating. Visitation will occur from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place, Monday, February 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Cemetery, 15232 County Hwy F, Lakewood, WI.
