Roger J. Mohr, 91, of Green Bay passed away peaceably on the evening of Tuesday April 27, 2021 surrounded by his wife, sons, daughters, daughter in law, and grandchildren by his side.
He was born on April 11, 1930 in Sheboygan WI, to his parents Fred and Esther. He graduated from East High school in 1947. After graduation he joined the Army as part of Company D, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Infantry Division where he served for 4 years. Roger was a vet serving in the Korean war. He was honorably discharged in 1952.
Roger was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He cherished his entire family including his fur-grandanimals. He always enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He enjoyed traveling to domestic and foreign destinations. A highly memorable trip was a retirement trip with his wife for a month on a Pacific rim tour shortly after retirement. He also enjoyed many summers at their place on Kelly Lake. More recent activities included puzzles, crossword puzzles and other mind benders, doting on his pet squirrels and birds on the back deck.
Roger is survived by his wife Pat, sister Lois Marcott, and his four children, Julie Hill and husband Gomer Hill, Cindi Bouchard and husband Mark Bouchard, Tim Mohr and wife Denice Mohr, and Andy Mohr. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Amanda, Brandon, Nicole, Danielle, and Kayla and five great-grandchildren: Brynn, Emilia, Wyatt, Logan, and Luke.
Roger is predeceased by his parents Fred Mohr and Esther Gooding, son Dennis Mohr, brother Don Mohr, and sister Marion Kurth.
Visitation will take place Friday April 30, 2021 at Lyndahl Funeral Home (1350 Lombardi Avenue Green Bay) from 4pm – 6:45pm, with a prayer service officiated by Deacon Michael Dobeck at 7pm, with Military Honors to follow.
